Anaheim, Calif. – Tomkins Industries, a world-class global engineering group with market and technical leadership, announces the appointment of Stuart Leigh as the new president of Lasco® Bathware. Lasco is a division of Tomkins and is the industry's largest manufacturer of fiberglass and acrylic bath fixtures. In his new role at Lasco Bathware, Leigh will manage more than 2,000 employees in nine locations across the United States, overseeing product development, sales, services, support and marketing. "I look forward to continuing Lasco Bathware's efforts to grow and add shareholder value for Tomkins," says Stuart Leigh, president for Lasco Bathware. "The way to do that is by developing products, increasing efficiencies and productivity, and improving overall quality and customer service."

Leigh has held several senior management roles throughout his 26-year career. Prior to joining Lasco, Leigh was the vice president of operations for Brasstech, a faucet manufacturer recently acquired by MASCO. During his six years at Brasstech, the company experienced significant growth and is currently a leading faucet manufacturer operating four plants nationwide.

From 1992 to 1998, Leigh was in charge of operations at Cobra Watertech, a valve and faucet manufacturer and former Tomkins Group company. Cobra operates five factories in South Africa and has 1,700 employees. During his tenure, he held several positions on the board. Prior to joining Cobra, Leigh was chief executive officer of a precision foundry in South Africa.

Leigh received his masters in mechanical engineering from Witwatersrand University in Johannesburg, South Africa and his masters of business administration from the University of South Africa. He is a registered professional engineer in his home country of South Africa. Leigh is replacing Jack McDonald, who has returned to focus on Lasco Fittings.
